Is Revolut still down? Bank issues guidance for customers experiencing technical issues

Revolut has issued a statement and advice to users following an app crash over the June bank holiday weekend.

The Irish customers were among thousands of people who reported problems logging in, transferring money and using other services with digital banking.

The financial application encountered “technical problems” which caused it to crash.

The official Revolut Twitter account tweeted on Monday evening: “We are sorry that some customers are experiencing issues while using our app.

“This is a technical issue that we are working to resolve as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience caused.”

At 11pm last night Irish time, the bank confirmed that the technical issues had been resolved.

The majority of customers were unaffected by the outage, but for anyone who was Revolut, they insisted their money and data were safe.

Even though the app issues have been resolved, many customers are still reporting issues with their accounts today.

One wrote on Twitter: “Day 2 of issues with @RevolutApp. Slow processing of transfers, transaction history not showing.

“The money I transferred to Revolut just isn’t showing up,” said a second.

A third customer asked: “Has anyone else’s Revolut been acting since yesterday?”

“Still having problems today. Everything was fine for a while. Now no transactions for today are showing so no idea if things are going well,” added a fourth.

While a fifth user tweeted: “Is Revolut down just for me? Is anyone else using Revolut and having the same issue?”

Revolut’s official Twitter account responded to the tweets, urging anyone still having issues with the app to contact their support team.

You can do this by sending them a direct or Twitter message or accessing their in-app chat service. Simply go to your profile, click on “Help”, select “New chat” and a support agent will contact you to help you with your request.
