Meet Brooklyn Beckham’s Billionaire Step-Parents, Nelson and Claudia Peltz, With Epic Net Worth

Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz will tie the knot this weekend in what has been dubbed the “socialite wedding of the year.”

Joining a Miami dynasty and meeting British celebrity royalty is set to be a star affair with a host of personalities present.

While Brooklyn parents David and Victoria Beckham have an estimated fortune of £380million, that’s nothing compared to the money his bride-to-be’s family have.

Bates Motel actress Nicola is the daughter of American businessman Nelson Peltz, who is worth four times what the Beckhams are worth.

With an estimated wealth of £1.7billion, it’s no wonder Brooklyn was asked to sign the ‘ mother and father of all prenuptials.

So who is the Peltz family and how did they make their fortune? Here’s everything we know about Brooklyn Beckham’s new in-laws.

Nicola’s father, Nelson Peltz, is an American businessman – and supporter of Donald Trump – who turns 80 in June.

With a personal fortune of £1.7billion, he is currently ranked by Forbes as the 1,729th richest man in the world.

But it didn’t start like that. The New York native, who was born into a Jewish family in Brooklyn, has a rags-to-riches history much like the Beckhams.

After dropping out of college in 1963, he rose through the ranks at his family’s food company, A. Peltz & Sons.

First a driver, he delivered fresh produce to New York restaurants. He then steered the company into the frozen food business and purchased several other food companies.

Then, in 1983, he and his business partner bought a stake in Triangle Industries, turning it into one of the largest packaging companies in the world. He then sold his share for a staggering $840m (£701m).

In 2005, he founded a new company, Trian Fund Management, an investment company which he still owns today. The company has stakes in companies like Heinz, Cadbury and Tiffany & Co, among others.

Today, the American investor is non-executive chairman of the American fast food chain Wendy’s, the multinational Sysco and the sports company The Madison Square Garden Company.

Nelson and Claudia live in a sprawling 27-bedroom mansion called High Winds in the affluent New York suburb of Bedford.

Their famous neighbors include Martha Stewart and movie stars Bruce Willis, Glenn Close and couple Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds.

In the 90s, Nelson used to fly to his office in downtown New York every day by helicopter, until he started getting noise complaints.

The 130-acre mansion was owned by Reader’s Digest founder DeWitt Wallace and is said to have an impressive art collection, an indoor skating rink, a private lake and a flock of albino peacocks.

Peltz’s property portfolio also extends to a lavish £78million beach house in Miami, where Brooklyn and Nicola’s nuptials are set to take place this weekend.

The Palace Estate, in Palm Beach, is one of the most expensive homes in the area and spans 44,000 square feet.

In addition to its dream location by the beach, it has extensive gardens and a swimming pool on the grounds.

Nelson is said to have bought the house across the street in order to obtain permission to build a tennis court. This now acts as a guest mansion and no doubt where people will be staying at the wedding this weekend.

The Peltz family also has a fleet of helicopters and two private jets to get around easily.
